Modern Billionaire’s Masquerade Ball
Rather than feeling like a typical chain hotel, Hotel Troy is designed to feel like a private club or the home of a gracious host. Guests are greeted by name, staff anticipate needs before they are expressed, and every detail—from the music and décor to the scent of the lobby and the presentation of a cocktail—has been carefully considered. The hotel's philosophy is built around the idea of "timeless hospitality." Modern luxury isn't defined by extravagance but by thoughtful service, genuine human interaction, and attention to detail. Every team member is empowered to create memorable moments that turn first-time visitors into loyal returning guests. The property's design celebrates clean architectural lines, natural wood, brass, leather, stone, and vintage-inspired artwork. Public spaces encourage conversation, relaxation, and productivity, while guest rooms offer a peaceful retreat with premium bedding, upscale amenities, and understated elegance.

Get ready for an evening of dinner, mystery, suspense, comedy, and interactive entertainment with The Murder Mystery Company’s Public Murder Mystery Dinner Theater Show. As soon as the performance begins, you’re pulled into a live investigation where anything can happen, and no one knows who to trust.
Created by Shark Tank winner Scott Cramton, founder of The Murder Mystery Company and producer of the award-winning Off-Broadway production Speakeasy Die Softly, the experience combines a delicious three-course dinner with an interactive murder mystery. Guests become detectives, investigate leads, uncover evidence, question suspects, and team up to crack the case.
You won’t be sitting quietly in the audience. You’re part of the story, and the killer could be anyone—even you. Professional actors guide the mystery while giving guests the freedom to participate as much or as little as they like. Step into the spotlight or solve the case from your table as you encounter twists, suspicious characters, and one deadly question…
Can You Solve the Crime Before the Killer Acts Again?
A Public Murder Mystery Dinner Theater Show places guests directly inside an entertaining world of crime, mystery, and intrigue. Rather than simply watching a performance, everyone becomes part of the unfolding story, encountering suspicious characters, hidden agendas, critical clues, evidence, and twists that can change the investigation at any moment.
Throughout the show, some willing guests will be selected to portray suspects and are given character information along with fun costume accessories. Other guests serve as detectives, working together with their tablemates to interrogate suspects, study evidence, uncover clues, and ultimately figure out who is guilty.
Professional actors oversee the experience and ensure that participating is enjoyable without feeling intimidating. Guests who enjoy the spotlight can take on more active roles, while those who prefer to remain observers can focus on investigating the crime with their table. This makes a Newark murder mystery dinner theater experience a flexible and entertaining choice for groups and individuals with all types of personalities.
